FABER® SolarPlus. Breaking new ground.

The new FABER® SolarPlus solar cable is a true all-purpose solution and will supplement our portfolio as from now. FABER® SolarPlus (H1Z2Z2-K) is one of the first solar cables to meet the new European standard EN 50618. Aimed at providing a uniform quality standard for PV cables in Europe, this European standard regulates the attributes, specifications and uses of cables for photovoltaic systems. FABER® ® SolarPlus has been tested and certified by the certification company TÜV.

The essential advantage of FABER® SolarPlus over other solar cables is its suitability for direct burial. This is achieved by high-quality insulation materials. This makes the costintensive installation of empty pipes as a cable protection in the construction of outdoor systems a thing of the past.

The cable is also ideal for rooftop systems. Its high temperature stability supports applications in all climate zones, where the cable can be installed in temepratures of down to -15 degrees Celsius. Its high resistance to oil, ammonia and abrasion and a projected life expectancy of around 25 years make FABER® SolarPlus one of the most durable products on the market.

Besides the attributes guaranteed as per DIN EN50618 FABER® SolarPlus is put to the following tests:

  • Water storage at 1.8 kV DC as per UL 758

  • Resistance to water as per HD 516 (AD 7)

  • Resistance to acids and bases as per EN 60811-404-404

  • Abrasion resistance as per EN 50289-3-7 (55 ± 5 cycles/min.)

  • Resistance to oil and fuel as per EN 60811-404

  • Resistance to hydrocarbons as per CEI 20-34/0-1 Par.9

Optionally these cables can also be produced with a (metal) rodent protection.
