Questions and answers on our mining cables
On request, we supply suitable medium-voltage cable terminations for our RSTI angled and separable connectors from TE available from stock as standard – also in combination with our medium-voltage junction boxes that are available from stock. Besides all of the international connector brands, we recommend for mobile use our FABER-SMV-24 hybrid plug-in system up to 24 kV, on request with integrated fibre-optic and pilot wires, which we can supply from production facilitiy in Germany with short delivery times. The all-new plug-in system dispenses with moulded contacts and is simply crimped and linked to each other using male/female connectors.
Shaft cables are developed for each specific project and in accordance with common mining standards and requirements for their tensile strength. That means we can increase reliability three-fold with dual round-steel armouring shaft cables up to 3 × 185 mm². The only limitation relates to the machine engineering specifications with maximum possible individual lengths.
For communication over long distances, we supply our fibre-optic cable OFE-R Singlemode 2x12FO. Its extremely robust design supports semi-fixed installation directly on the conveyor belt and is vibration resistant and weatherproof on all markets. Our FABER ICA Mining is an instrumentation, control and automation cable with enhanced certifications like EAC and cUL approvals for international markets.
