In addition to this, technical interfaces provide access to online shops and inventory management systems. Besides the networking with ELGATE, OXOMI, GAEB, BMEcat and DATANORM, we can also label our products with an EAN code upon the customer’s request. And we also offer the article master data in CSV and Excel format. Our latest online information system is GeDa-X.

GeDa-X is a FREE service provided by Klaus Faber AG for exchanging business data. The GeDa-X portal enables you to check the availability of a product in seconds by way of an online query. The GeDa-X data hub is operated by our long-standing partner CURAMUS, a specialist in the fields of EDI and ECM.
To GeDa-X in three steps:

ELGATE is the central platform for the prompt exchange of price and availability information between wholesalers and the electrical industry. ELGATE can be used to obtain online information about products and the current status of orders – up to the second. The data exchange with ELGATE usually runs via the ERP system of the client. ELGATE is a service provided by the German Electrical Wholesaling Association (VEG) and Central Association of the Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry (ZVEI) and can be used by all association members.
OXOMI is to be understood as a virtual catalogue cabinet that comes to the fore when ERP systems reach their limits. This because one often rather tends to find detailed product descriptions and high-quality images in the print versions of catalogues, price lists, technical data sheets or prospects.
OXOMI fuses the content quality of print products with the advantages of EDP in an ideal manner. The system brings these documents to the screens of our customers by way of information portals: easily manageable, fast, and always available. Technical interfaces provide the portals with access options for online shops and ERP systems.
The so-called EAN (European article number) is found on all commercial products these days. Although its name was changed to GTIN (global trade item number) in 2009, the term EAN number has generally still remained in use. The EAN number enables unique identification of all products internationally because every barcode is only assigned once. This makes all ordering processes easier for you and us.
BMEcat is a standardized catalogue data exchange format in catalogue management – initiated by the Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Logistics Association (BME). BMEcat provides a basis for easy import of catalogue data from a great variety of different data exchange formats. This can markedly lower the costs at all companies involved because standard interfaces can be relied upon and bilateral coordination is minimized.
DATANORM is a standard process for exchanging article/master data between manufacturers, specialized retailers and the trade. It is based on record descriptions whose functional and technical details have been designed by the DATANORM data exchange working group in cooperation with associations, manufacturers, specialized retailers and software firms.
Die Programmreihe der Fa. EPLAN stellt eine einheitliche Entwicklungsplattform mit direktem Datenaustausch zwischen verschiedenen Bausteinen zur Verfügung. Teil dieser Plattform ist eine gemeinsame Stammdatenbibliothek, u. a. für Kabel und Leitungen. Seit 2015 stellt Faber dieser Bibliothek seine Daten zur Verfügung. So können unsere Produkte innerhalb der EPLAN-Programme über eine einfache Suchfunktion eingebunden werden.
GAEB (German Joint Committee for Electronics in Construction) gets involved wherever parties of a construction process require mutual coordination, and promotes the exchange of information such as specification and article data, for example, in the construction industry. The agency is included in the portfolio of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) at the German Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) in Bonn. Its objective is “a common language for all parties involved in construction”.
