The start signal for the expansion of our logistical centre in Hedemünden was given on 1.8.2012.
Two additional halls measuring 850 square meters altogether are being created here in the space of a few months. One of these halls will accommodate a new unreeling machine with an intake capacity of 15 tons. The objectives include the provision of more preliminary storage spaces that are essential for export orders, for example. The second hall serves to expand the capacities for cable preassembly and other services provided by Faber. This will enable us to respond to our clients’ specific wishes with even greater speed and flexibility in the future.
To be named as an example here are the improved options for reel casing. The investment adds up to 2.5 million euros in total. The new facility could already be taken into service at the beginning of December and the entire project is scheduled to be completed by the end of February 2013. While the conversion activities must not be allowed to interfere with the day-to-day operation and project business, maintaining our service and supply capabilities even under the construction-related conditions is a unique challenge we gladly contend with for the benefit of our customers!
