New copper stranded conductors added to the portfolio.

We are expanding our range of copper stranded conductors as per DIN 48201/1 and DIN VDE 0295, heretofore limited to a tin-plated variant, by an uncoated variety, available in soft and bare versions.

Use.

Copper stranded conductors are used for earthing purposes in high-voltage facilities and suitable for potential equalization systems in plants and machinery. They are deployed indoors, outdoors and in the ground as earth wires/lightning arresters for industrial facilities and buildings.

Bare copper stranded conductors are mostly used for earthing purposes in the construction of electrical systems. They have a mathematical tensile strength of 200 N/mm². Soft conductors are predominantly used as overhead lines. Their mathematical tensile strength amounts to 400 N/mm².

Tin-plated copper stranded conductors are less vulnerable to corrosion than uncoated ones, which has a positive effect on their contact resistance, besides the outward appearance.
