Klaus Faber AG makes generous food donation to the Saarbrücker Tafel e.V.

It has become a good tradition: For the fifth time already the employees of Faber Kabel support the Saarbrücker Tafel e.V. The non-profit organization was founded in 1998 and distributes food to the needy. "We direct the existing but unused wealth to wherever it is needed.” says Uwe Bußmann, first chairman of the association. More than 4,500 people a week are using this offer and the distributions six days a week. Over a hundred helpers invest remarkable 32,000 volunteer hours per year.

The food collection at Faber Kabel was initiated by Claudia Purper from our sales team. In the past five years she invested a lot of dedication and passion in this project – and will continue to do so in the future. “We have to think of those that do not enjoy the standard of living that we do today.” says Purper. "These people often live right next door and we don´t even know.”

The demand for food is enormous. Therefore Uwe Bußmann is delighted with the generous donation. "Faber Kabel is one of twenty companies in the area that support us with larger fundraising campaigns. We are very grateful.”
