Preassembled Electrical Cable
Since 2007, FABER offers its customers yet another service: the cutting to length and termination of flexible electrical cable with connectors, plugs and terminal ends.
In conjunction with a pilot project for a well-known manufacturer of cranes, FABER has set up and is now operating a facility on its headquarters' premises for the manufacture of small batches of preassembled electrical cable.
The plant is capable of fitting cables of up to 85 mm gauge diameter and conductor cross-sections of up to 120 mm² from the standard stocked FABER cable products with commonly required terminal ends, ferrules and plugs suitable for 250 A nominal current. Customers may specify the exact length and type of terminal ends required as well as the inspection and test programme for the finished products. In addition, FABER provides the cable and wire strands with markings. As may be expected of quality electrical products, all of the articles are subject to strict quality control before leaving the plant. Moreover, the quality assurance personnel all have extensive training with suitable certification to show for their efforts.
